10 bizarre cultural practices in the world
Culture is truly diverse just like it's people. For several years, different people from different parts of the world have been practicing various types of rituals. In addition, some of these rituals border on the absurd, while others are fascinating. The following is a list of 10 bizzare cultural practices around the world.
1) In the Dani tribe of Indonesia, when a family member dies the women express their grief by cutting off a segment of their fingers.They believe its a means of satisfying ancestral ghosts.
2)Endocannibalism
Endocannibalism is still practiced in some part of the world. The Yanomami tribe lives in villages near the border of Brazil and Venezuela. They are known for consuming the flesh of a member of their own usually after they have died. They wrap the corpse in leaves and allow insects to infest on them for 30-45 days, the bones are collected, crushed, and mixed into a banana soup to be consumed by all. After a year, they mix the ashes with plantain soup and eat it.
3) Living with the dead
The Toraja people of Indonesia exhume the corpses of their fellow villagers but that's not all. They dress these corpses and parade them round the village. If someone dies outside the village, they will take the corpse from the spot of death and walk the corpse back to the village as an act of returning home.

The Ainu people of Japan and Russia believe that bears are gods walking among humans, and if you sacrifice them, they will bless the soul of mankind. So, they kill these bears, drink their blood, eat their flesh and place the skull on top of a spear wrapped in bear skin.
